Here's the other part to my English project! This is after Holden delivers the message to the school office.

bravo!

you really captured holden's persona through facial expression and body language! nicely done!

loved your english comic thing- i want more :P lol

loved the book too!
Why, thank you very much, comrade! I'm especially pleased that you liked those pictures in particular. It means that you also appreciated Catcher in the Rye, an excellent classic if ever there was one.

It's more satisfying to me when people take notice of my more obscure works. So many people are into my anime fan art, but it's special when they show interest in my literary-themed things. :D Thank you, again!

dont mention it man, i loved Catcher so much, that i could really relate to ol' Holden... when all those things happened...

i was only ment to read it once over a 6 day weekend (it was a holiday or something) about a year ago, but enjoyed it soo much that i read it 4, 5 times! and since that class, i've picked up the book off my book shelf and just read my favorite passages- when holden greets Sally- Holden's conversation with sunny, the hooker- the situation with the pimp- when he sneaks into his parents house after he got drunk and thought he was going to freeze to death (also he broke the little sherly beans record)- i loved the book. I eventually wrote a thesis paper comparing Holden and Salinger's life and how Salinger's early life may have influenced Holden's persona. Through my research i have a theory that not only did Salinger write a briliant piece of work, but he also influenced the counter-culture movement in the late 50's.

I've also read several of Salinger's other works (also some of the more obscure pre-WWII ones) such as Nine Stories, and raise high the roof beam carpenters...

sorry, i ramble sometimes.... but yes, ive never seen someone make a little comic from the catcher and thank YOU for creating this piece of work! :)
I've been meaning to check out some of his other works... :plotting:

Thank you again for enjoying my drawring!
